Board Interviews for 2021-2022

It is time for 2021-2022 Board Selections. This year we will conduct quick interviews to help slate our board and chairs this coming up Sunday (5/2) and Monday (5/3). Below is a list of all office positions and responsibilities. If you would like to interview for a board position for this upcoming year, please sign up for a slot here


Important Reminders about Interviews: 1. Any upcoming 11th/12th grader can apply for all positions. 2. Arrive at least 5 minutes early to your interview. Enter through the garage. 3. Be prepared to tell the panel your top two positions you would like to interview for when you get to the interview. Be sure to include why you want to hold that position and what qualities you possess that would make you a good candidate. 4. Be openminded that you may have the perfect skills and be needed in other positions too! 5. Dress is casual/comfy. 6. We need good leaders, so please consider!

2021-2022 Executive Board Positions President - Camille Boles: She shall do agendas, works with area charitable organizations to identity the trajectory of the club and future relationships, organize calendar events, and all internal communications (GroupMe). The president shall preside over all meetings. The president shall appoint committees and call additional meetings if necessary. President must be a senior. Vice President - She will be the President-Elect for the 2022-2023 year. A candidate must assume duties of the President in her absence. She is to assist the President and learn all facets of running the Civinette Board.Vice President is in charge of record keeping of all dance forms and assist in new member recruitment duties, including the ice cream social. She makes info spreadsheets for Civitan dates. VP must be a Junior and possess good organizational and leadership skills. Secretary - She shall take attendance at meetings by keeping a notebook. She is then responsible for plugging all the information into Google Drive. This is required in order to keep up with probation. Keeps all membership data. Candidate must be organized and proficient in spreadsheets and enter data in a timely manner. Treasurer - She is responsible for maintaining a constant record of all club financial transactions. Candidate must be detail oriented, honest, extremely organized and able to balance a checkbook. Public Relations Coordinator - She advertises external communications and social media, newspapers. Maintain facebook and Instagram sites, create graphics for communications. She oversees the head of photography. Candidate must have good social media design skills and communication skills. Service Projects Directors (2) - She oversees each service project chair. She coordinates all service opportunities, creating calendar of opportunities to send to president. Creates Sign-Ups for Service Opportunities. Candidate must be highly organized and communicate regularly with service chairs. This is the most important board position. Social Events Director - She oversees dance committee and coordinates all details in planning a successful event. She oversees the t-shirt chair for socials. Candidate needs to have great event planning skills and stays on top of fun party trends. Enrichment Director: She is responsible for coordinating activity programs that reflects the varied interests of the members and provides them with meaningful and life enriching activities. This can include asking some to come speak about etiquette skills, resume, interviewing skills, self defense and dance classes. Candidate must have great scheduling skills and communication skills to provide interesting and useful classes. Honor Code Director: The rule follower. Makes sure the club and its members abide by all bylaws. Keeps up with service hours for each member, informs members of probation and other rules. Candidate must be good at following directions and rules. This director holds the Intergrity our club. Honest, fair, kind but able to enforce rules. CHAIR POSITIONS Service Project Committee Chairs: One chairperson for each charity below who acts as the liaison between the organization and Director of Service. Plans events, gathers service needs and schedules service opportunities for the club with the organization. Candidate must have a heart for the organization, possess good communication skills to organize events with each organization. One chairperson for each of the following: Little Lighthouse Hope Hollow MS Children's Museum Make a Wish Nursing Homes Top Soccer Iona House: Cassie Howell T-Shirt Chair: Designs, orders, distributed of all t-shirts, sweatshirts, for all club members. Needs to be creative and loves to stay up on trends in fashion. New Member Recruitment: Responsible for Ice Cream Social in August, assist new members with questions in the fall, and coordinates all forms, dates and distribution of Application Forms to school counselors to meet recruitment deadlines in the Spring of 2022. Works with club members, social media chair, website on recruitment and school representatives. Candidate needs to be sugary sweet, bubbly and love to share the love of Civinettes, give lots of welcoming hugs and support! Photography Chair: She is responsible for making sure that each service event is photographed and all photography for Civinettes. This candidate delegates photography for events through a slot on each sign up genius. Good organizational and photography skills is a must! Showing up as the photographer is considered one in-house hour and does not have to attend the event being photographed for more than that one required hour. Donation Committee Chairs (2 or 3 people): In charge of kick off raffle at the beginning of the year, and coordinating with the service organizations about any needed donations. This could include needing to raise money through planning a car wash or assigning people certain things to bring for donations. Candidates need to be a go getter! Not afraid to ask for donations and ability to organize a raffle! School Representatives: Acts as the liaison between Civinettes and their school. Candidates must provide great communication to their school Civinettes! Dance Committee: Committee is comprised of 3 to 4 people. Plan all the dances. Ability to help with 3 dances in planning, shopping, being very creative and good event planning skills.
