Dear Civinettes and Parents of Civinettes,
I hope you all are doing well and staying safe during this COVID 19 pandemic. We have had a wonderful charter year of Civinettes and are looking forward to the next year. In just 5 short months the Civinettes were able to complete well over 615 service hours for our charities. Registration is open for the 2020-2021 year for nonmembers and upcoming 10th graders and we encourage you to check out our new website: www.madisonciv.com. Our returning Civinettes do not need to re-apply.
We also wanted to write and let you all know that we have officially postponed the Summer Swing to July 8th. While we are hopeful that this date will be far along enough from this virus, we are patiently waiting until June 1st to make the final decision on having the dance. We will be following what the CDC and Governor is recommending at this time. If we are allowed large gatherings under 200 people then we will have the dance. If not, we will cancel and plan for something else this fall. We have everything in place to move forward.
Dances are typically mandatory since they are fundraisers for our charities, However, we are not making the Summer Swing a mandatory event.
Lastly, Many of you were given a ticket to sell for the event. You can check the MEMBERS ONLY section of the website (Password is service2021) and see if your name is on that list, but you should have the ticket in hand from our March meeting. If you are unable to sell that ticket, please let Katherine Delaney, Treasurer, know by June 1. All ticket money and forms are due June 25th. Please wait until after the June 1st confirmation of the dance before collecting any money.
Sincerely,
Lauren Fairburn
Madison Junior Civitan Club Mom
