Civinettes Dress Sale

WHAT IS THIS? This year, Civinettes will be hosting a Dress Consignment Sale! Each Civinette will be allowed to bring up to a suggested five dresses to consign, ranging from short homecoming dresses to long pageant dresses. All formal dresses will be allowed, but we ask that dresses brought are still on trend and something you would still wear! The seller of the dress will receive 80% of the profit, while 20% will be donated to a charity.


WHERE IS THE SALE? The sale will occur at Madison United Methodist Church on August 20th.

 

WHEN IS THE SALE? AUGUST 19 - DROP-OFF YOUR DRESSES DAY!

See instructions on the sign up genius on how to tag your dress ready to sell! Only Civinettes are allowed to consign the dresses, but you are welcome to sell a friends and settle up with them on your own. Just remember the suggested 5 limit to consign. Anyone who consigns 5 dresses will receive an additional service hour! So ask your friends and consign a dress or two for them! 

AUGUST 20TH - DRESS SALE DAY!

Civinettes who donate at least one dress to the sale will be given a ticket to the event at dress drop off and will be scheduled by grade for times to come shop at the consignment. Senior Civ's start at 9 a.m., Junior Civ's at 10 a.m. and Sophomore Civ's at 11 a.m. One parent can shop with her Civinette. Civinette shopping hours will end at 12:45 p.m. and all Civ's not working the afternoon must leave. 

 

Civinette members will also be given 2 tickets that they can give to a friend to shop during 'ticket only' shopping hours 1 to 3 p.m. These tickets will allow people outside of Civinettes to shop and purchase dresses. 

PRICING GUIDELINES: Each Civinette will decide how much they would like to sell their dress for, we recommend 50% - 75% of purchase price, but it is up to you! The seller of the dress will receive 80% of the profit, while 20% will be donated to a charity. If a dress isn’t purchased at the sale, the Civinette will be able to decide if they would like to pick up after the event or donate the dress to charity.

CAN I GET SERVICE HOURS FOR THE EVENT? Yes! There is a sign up in helper (open August 7) to sign up to work a 2 hour shift at the event. You are able to get maximum of 2 hours

for working the event. 

GAME PLAN: Consignor numbers will be given out at the Aug. 7th meeting and posted in

the GroupMe. Sales tags will be also given out at the meeting. 

Bring your dress(es) during your designated drop off time (see sign up genius link above)

on a hanger and TAGGED with the following information written on one side of the tag in

the following order:

1. Your assigned consignor number 14 and Item #. If my consignor # is 14, I would write

14-01 for my first item, 14-02 for my 2nd item, 14-03 for my 3rd item and so on.

2. Your Last Name

On the other side of the tag, write:

1. Price

2. Dress size

3. Price - $60

When you arrive, we will mark if you want it returned or

donated if not sold.

DRESS PICK UP: Any Civinettes who mark their dresses to not be donated after the sale will be contacted at 4 p.m. on Saturday and dresses must be picked up between 4 -5 p.m that day.
